INJURY TREATMENT

Throughout a driver’s career they are likely to incur the occasional injury either through racing, or another sporting activity. Although usually minor, even small injuries can escalate into more chronic conditions if left untreated. Common racing-related injuries are:

• General Tendonitis and Ligament sprains

 

Both Pro Performance consultants are fully qualified Sports Therapists and are able to treat a wide-range of soft-tissue disorders and prescribe rapid and effective rehabilitation exercise plans.

 

Injury prevention is high on the list of priorities for Pro Performance, and therefore performs regular sports massage sessions to keep driver’s muscles flexible, strong and healthy. For drivers training and competing on a regular basis, a deep-tissue sports massage is recommended every week. Pro Performance sessions last 45 to 60 minutes depending on the treatment, and this usually includes a PNF stretch session.
